Sunday Six Part 1: a new home
Six things I enjoyed this week. Any category. Sunday Six is back in a new home!

If you’ve been following me on IG for a while, you may remember Sunday Six. It’s a simple post concept that allows me to talk about things I’m loving, using, eating, drinking, consuming, listening to. It may include beauty products (which make up a large part of my short-form content), or it may not. Either way, it’s a nice reflection on my week and how I spent my time. My hope is that here on Substack, Sunday Six will feel less ephemeral and more like a cozy ritual.
Just a note: Sunday Six has historically been a communal form (via hashtags and shared IG stories) so I’m thinking about how to make this a communal space, too, perhaps without one million story frames this time. Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions!
The unofficial soundtrack to this week’s Sunday Six is, obviously, BRAT by Charli xcx. Throw it on and continue reading.
Glossier Lip Line – Great shade curation that includes a nude for many skin tones from light to deep. When I first swatched these I was actually really shocked at how budge-proof these are. They are very creamy in application and comfortable on the lips, so you’d never guess how long-lasting they are.
Little Liffner Mini Leather Basket Bag – This comes with a big caveat: I was on a six month pre-order for this bag. It was my Christmas present from Shawn, originally slated for a March or April arrival that kept getting pushed back until earlier this month. But it was worth the wait.
I’ve been fixated on woven leather bags for the past few summers, a la Bottega and Dragon Diffusion. I have a large Dragon Diffusion dupe bag from Etsy that I wear all the time; I’m convinced is made by the same artisans (or at least artisans in the same region). Still, I wanted something smaller with a touch more embellishment, and Little Liffner fit the bill. The craftsmanship is stunning and meticulous. For example, the handles are actually woven seamlessly with the body of the bag, rather than woven separately and stitched on. Though the bag doesn’t latch, the weight of the silver hardware loops across the opening and keeps the handles in place. It’s an event/evening/hand-held bag, not appropriate for long days out or public transit. But because it’s woven leather, it feels casual enough to dress up or down. Here it is styled for an outfit I wore to The Ordinary event last week.Makeup by Mario Bronzing Serum –
This + skin tint.
This + foundation.
This + just concealer.
Just this.
It looks beautiful with every combination. I’ve been wearing it almost everyday since they sent it over in PR and it’s glowy, bronzey perfection. It’s not a bronzer, per se, because it is actually quite sheer. A bronzing serum is the right descriptor for it. You can use it over or under whatever base product you’re using.
I have a full review + swatches of Fair, Light, Light Medium. I wear Light for a neutral undertone and Light Medium for a more golden/bronze vibe. This brush makes application a breeze.Moft Phone Tripod MagSafe Stand Thing – I don’t know what to tell you, TikTok got me with this one. One of the occupational hazards of being a content creator is cycling through so much gear, not all of it good or useful.
But I really like this. I have it in Soft The MagSafe magnet is very strong, so it feels sturdy enough to hold the weight of my iPhone 13 Pro vertically or horizontally at varying levels. Makes for easy content creation and vlogging on the go, and it gives you some versatility without committing to carrying a tripod around. TBD on durability since it’s just my first couple of weeks with it.Electric Picks Earrings (they just shared code BEKAH20 with me for 20% off!) – Statement earrings are a summer staple for me, especially since I wear my hair up in a messy updo with a claw clip most days. Currently loving the Supermodel Earrings in silver and the Ocean Drive Earrings in 16K plated gold. I especially like how sturdy the posts are, no bending or tilting when I’m putting the earrings on.
Athena Club Razor – Very close to perfection. 5 blades, cute colorways, affordable razor refills on their website or at Target. I love that the razor itself doesn’t have a super wide sticky lotion bar thing surrounding it so I can get a close shave, especially along the bikini line. The only con is that my little stick-on-wall thing fell off after a couple of weeks, so I need to re-attach it occasionally. I have a second one so I’ll have to see if that one works better.
My May + June Favorites are also up on YouTube and include more in-depth reviews and demos of some of these things, if you’re curious.
